Vale - Wetere (Jack) Tahi
It is with great saddness that we say goodbye to club member Wetere (Jack) Tahi. Born 23 February 1937 and passed away 27 October 2021 aged 84 years. Jack was born in New Zealand but lived in Melbourne. Jack was a stalwart at our club barbeques and was always laughing and smiling. Much loved father of 5 children. Jack was farewelled in a fitting funeral ceremony on 3 November 2021 complete with a Haka and members of our club acting as pallbearers. RIP Jack, you will be missed.

In Australia and New Zealand, we often take it for granted that if we ever need medical care, we will be treated quickly and effectively by highly qualified doctors, nurses, surgeons and other specialists.
But right next door in the Asia Pacific region, a lack of resources combined with limited training means people with repairable conditions are often not treated fast enough or well enough – if they are treated at all.Read more...
